Hi,

I have a Starcraft American 18 in Fiberglass with a Mercruiser 165 IL6 Engine. Now I am looking for a trailer but don't exactly know the weight of it. Does anyone know?

Thanks for your help.

i'd think in terms of about 2500-2700#. have you looked at the old brochures? most of them list boat weights.

Hi Barato,

Thanks for your answer. I have no old broschure that gives information of the boat at all. Do you know where to look them up?

Thanks and best regards,

Popey---

had you tried the thread on the top of this forum entitled "Starcraft brochures"? if you can't find it here, also look at fiberglassics.com.

I don't have the 79 brochure but my 78 says doesn't give the weight of the boat. If it's on a trailer now, you could always take it to one of those large truck stops and weigh it.

'74 brochure lists the weight for the 18 American I/O as being about 1835 lbs. "systems dry", with the "standard" engine and outdrive configuration (whatever that meant).

My 78 lists about the same but there are about 6 different engine packages listed also. Now that I know what I'm reading, you should be OK thinking about 2000.
