Starcraft guys - Good deal?

Hey guys,

I was thinking of contacting the seller on this one... but after careful consideration, I just don't think it's in the budget...

But thought I would toss this up here for you rebuilders...

There isn't a lot of info...but the price doesnt seem too bad, newer model O/B... could probably talk him down a bit (if it's still available)...

If I were to re-consider buying it, what would you offer? (based on the limited info available).

if it's legite... go for it! the motor alone is probably worth it... (as long as it's not blown of course) If you live close, go check it out quickly.

ya the motor if its good running is worth the deal. being a 50, thats probably a 16' boat. i would start at 600 and work up from there... you never know what someone is willing to take so the worst that can happen is they say no.

that being said, even 900 for a starcraft with a bad trailer and blown motor is not unheard of, they are are great boats.

The only downside I see is where the boat is at. Inverness is a nice town (have friends there) on the Gulf coast.

You can anticipate salt water damage and really tough nuts and bolts if the proper maintenance was neglected. Do not be surprised if there are tiny holes eaten into the hull. It's all repairable but frustrating. Good Luck

I would contact at least to find out what model she is..

If she's tin or glass..

Could be a 16 ft SS...I have seen ads where they simply say "18 ft boat" and open the ad to see another Starcraft to fuel my fever!!!

Yeah, hold the phone.....Starcraft made tin and glass boats. Their glass boats are nothing special. If it's a glass one then it might just be a fair price. If it's tin than it's a great price.
