Starcraft marine Mr 18 Center console

I just found this forum today, and I am looking into purchasing my first new-to-me-boat. That being said, I am trying to determine a value of a mid-80's Starcraft marine Mr 18 Center console. It has a 50 hp outboard motor. Center console, aluminum hall in good shape. It has had some custom seats put into the bow of the boat and two seats in the back of the boat. I know the floor could use some redoing and possibly redo the seats.

I don't have a lot of info on the boat other than I don't believe it gets used too often during the boating season.

As you may have noticed, this forum is packed with Starcraft nuts. That's a great boat. However, it is a bit underpowered. It will plane out fine with a light load with that 50 but add a couple guys and you might not be happy with it. A 70 or higher would be better. I'd value it around $1500 if it needs some work.

Thanks for the response. That is what I was hoping to hear from some people that know more about boats than me. This boat will be able to get through the summer season then my goal for the winter would be to do a restoration on it. The layout of the boat is already the layout that i like. With a combination of fishability and day cruising. I have been going through your restoration threads things look good.
