That looks like a fun little project! I wonder if they bent that gunwale wood or cut it out of a bigger piece? Or maybe a little of both? Hmmm.

Wow!! That looks like something I want to try. Notice how rivets were added across the bow for the front deck. I would have never noticed that if they were painted.

My neighbor has a boat like that (before pic) rotting away in her back yard. She is in her 70's and it is her grandsons. Her house is beautiful and immaculately kept both inside and out despite the grandson using her yard as an outdoor storage facility. He had an old Acura in the driveway with no plates for the last 2 years but that finally got towed away.

I digress, just think it's a shame that someone like myself who would restore the boat and use it doesn't have it. of course there is no trailer or motor.

Looks to me like teak but my brother, a builder, sent me a similar wood he has begun to use for decks.

On photo 58 you can see a scarf joint close to the bow. So it is likely both.

This is a model for innovative thinking and adaptive use of a sound tinny.

Waaaay overpriced. I don't think it's any better than some of the quality restos we have here. Just diffeerent that's all. Nice but not worth that!

Kenny's (Hopeshefloats) boat is nicer, bigger, faster, and half the price.
