now if he'd take $2000 and everything works.....

That is kind of what I was thinking. Am affraid that if I brought it home I would be sleeping in one of the four that I would then have. That does not sound like any fun.

Agreed...Did you tell him that you are almost done with one that he can buy?:facepalm:

Yah, if he paid me a million billion dollars I'd have my Islander done by next weekend for him. Anything short of that, I'll keep it and take my time:D

Kelly that rude color scheme I think started in the eighties. Evinrude and Johnson are both made by the same company now. If the motor is in good shape. it's probably worth at least $1500. And don't forget the OBO.

Think the rude is newer than my 1984 50 hp Johnson. Boat looks clean and cared for. But then I thought the 16 ss I bought in Licoln City Oregon looked farily good. LOL No, it looks like a good find here for our area, price is fair also. The top alone would cost 14 to 16 hundred dollars to have made. Trailer aslo looks galvinized. Kelley you could always rent your boats out being on the shore ,almost, of the Columbia River .REMEMBER The Humpys are on the Wash- Oregon coast during the odd year so you could possibly sell it later for a decent profit.

Yeah I was surprised and frightened at just how forceful and sincere the "NO" was I received towards my idea of acquiring my buddy's Chieftain should he happen to lose interest in it at some point.

Maybe I'll buy a camper instead :p:p

This is what I do. You nonchalantly say to the wife when she's not really paying attention "I'm thinking about (insert your thoughts here)" Then you wait a few days and come home with whatever it is. When she freaks out you say "I told you I was thinking about it" :D Obviously if you try this too often, she may start listening to you and it will lose its effectivness.
