Just found starcraft deal of the decade..

Just found starcraft deal of the decade..

but no place to keep it and no way to tow it! Should I try to grab it anyways and sort out the details later?

An all there jet with a running evinrude 50 and a galvanized trailer for under 400 bucks!

I'm broke as dirt and can hardly afford to pay rent. I have a nassau at home in Washington that I paid 4 times this for and still might not be as nice.. How do I find stuff only when I can't buy it? :(

Buy it, make a better ad and resell it if nothing else.

I have to agree that is one heckuva deal, I like the 'Rude and the hull.

(hate to tell you but a new member did just buy a SuperSport w/ a 70hp OMC for $100, so it is he second best deal of the century;))

This one is still a good deal though, buy it and sort the tin cans out later:D

Weird, we've seen that horribly abused V5 before like years ago on here. I think it was on ebay. I guess no one ever did anything with it.

It has a 150 hp and only gets to 40mph? And he said it was well maintained:confused:
It hurts my feelings to see a boat treated like that.

MANY!!!!!!!!!! OMC now stands for Obsolete Motor Company..
Been outta biz for many years and you will not find replacement parts "as easy" as you will for the same 140hp Mercruiser with a Merc Outdrive..

If she runs GREAT and has zero isssues and you are willing to maintain her, she looks good...But if she needs work (and she will, it's an I/O) you wont be able to grab anything in stock off the shelf at your local boat parts store..


If she ran great after a LENGTHY water test, I'd offer 500 and explain to them the nightmare you are going to have when you need repairs.

This is why I love iboats. I had no clue. I've never owned a boat but fell in love with the old starcrafts. Now I gotta get one. I'll keep looking and posting things that catch my attention. Thanks kev for the information. You guys have kept me out of buying trouble:D

Same brown, same dash mine had when I got her..
Just a mere 600 more than what I bought mine for...ouch:mad:

$600?!? Is that REALLY what you can pick one of these old Starcrafts up for? Man.. It really didn't seem like a bad boat at all!!!
