Jim I fibbed :D the brochures are actually in the files area to the left and the 62 brochure is right up top of that section :D. You do have to become a member over there to access that section but thats pretty easy especially if you already have a yahoo account :D.

I used a PVC trim board from Lowes for my dash. Very easy to work with and will never rot.

Another Question. I was going to use Rustoleum paint but the can says there products are not intended for use on something that will be submerged. So are those of you using this paint having any problems with peeling or fading.
also what seems to look better the simi-gloss or gloss paint. I want to go white on the bottom and inside and red on top.
thanks again

i cant speak for anyone really, bu kevin was the leader of the rustoleum pack... but he hasnt splashed his boat yet. i used topside paint on my whole boat, but honestly am not worried about it. i wouldnt worry unless its going to be in the water for long periods of time. if its a trailer queen you should be okay.

Well thats just it, I plan to use this old girl. I dont think I'll ever have it in the water more than a week, that is stretching it. Most likley a few weekends a year but probabily many little trips to our local lakes to cruse or a little fishing. The top should be ok I think. I wonder about the bottom though. I'll have to do some research on that I guess. If anyone has experence with this please let me know.

Jim if your going to be in the water more than overnight you really want a bottom kote type paint on the bottom of the boat . Rustoleum oddly enough actually does make marine finishes including Bottom Kote paints . Google Rustoleum marine paint and you will get some hits on it . I will tell you it isnt as cheap as the regualr rustoleum but its what you want if your going to be on the water more than 24 hours.
