Does anyone know if the start switch that is on the side of the 9.9 outboards can be disasemlbed or cleaned.
Mine is part # 386457 with equivalent part 395699 from my 9.9 2 stroke 1984 J10SELCRA.
This switch has been getting harder and harder to engage over the season and finally won't close the circuit at all. i'd buy a new one, but they are around $50 which I think is too much for a switch.
