Re: Started her up today and maint. :)

I went up to berryessa last sunday with the wife and our parents and did a little water sking. I was shocked to see the free launch was full. I had to go park up on the road! Water is still pretty cold. I will be going up thursday to try my hand at bass fishing. From what I hear they are getting really active after a 10 days of 80 degree weather.

Waterskiing, fishing, sunburns...yea yea, who needs it. Oh look, I need to go out and snowblow the driveway again! Another 7 inches of snowfall! (Is it spring yet?) My boats look real good under their covers... ARRGHH!!

Heinz I am really located in Suisun. I live about 10 minute walk from the boat launch.

BlueWater 19 have you tried the 9th street landing in Benicia.

I think an outing for us NorCal boaters would be great. Boss has almost convinced me to take the Boat on a cruise to San Franciso on Saturday instead of the lake if we do it will depend on the weather (wind/Wave action).
Rick

I launch my boat at pierce harbor all the time and I know the owner pretty well. I always leave a few bucks for the launch.I have had really good luck in goodyear slough. Last year we launched out of there for the rio vista bass derby and stayed out for 3 days. Anyway Let me know when this Nor Cal get together is taking place I'll be there!!! :D

Just a quick question Heinz.

You're in California, so don't you use your boats yearround?

If I waited till the temps were in the 80's, I'd only get to use my boat for 2 weeks a year. :D

Hoping to hit 35 degrees today.

That’s too bad, KKC. I was just out on the lawn, look across the bay at the beautiful San Francisco skyline and the boats going thru the estuary…wishing I had hair…sunburn and all that…you understand.

So, anyways...what is this 'snow' stuff you speak of? :D :D :D

I can't complain, I actually like having the four seasons to look forward to. You can't beat the fall time here in New England. I couldn't deal with 85 degree temps and sun every single day. The cold and snow does start to get old around this time of the year, especially when you have been looking out your window at your covered boat(s) the last 4 months!! I say, if you live in a snow belt area, might as well enjoy it as much as you can! Go skiing, or like I do, snowmobiling! Takes up some time waiting for the boating season to come back.

Oh I agree, 4 seasons would be nice, we just got done(for now) with our rainy season, now grass growin like crazy! I'd acttually love a white Xmas each year, but it aint gonna happenn here. I love the seasons I see in midwest and east coast when travelling, especially fall in PA! Gorgeous! Youre right though, you take advantage of every season with diff. activities. For me it's shooting, golf(driving range) recently, boating, fishing. Used to offroad LOTS but not many spots here. Take care, Heinz
