Here ya go, try this

The issue is the regular TB-V distributer had bullet connectors coming out of the distributor. Yours does not have this and your not going to replace the sensor yet, so you only want to remove one wire at a time. I'm going to assume you have gone thru the troubleshooting guide in post 14 down to where you are getting 12V on the + terminal of the coil.

Now remove the screw holding the White/Red wire.
See if you have 12V on the wire you just removed, (key is turn ON)

If no 12V, you need to check your wiring harness.
If you have 12V, turn key OFF and reconnect White/Red wire on sensor in distributor

Remove the White/Green wire off the other side of the sensor in the distributor, and do not let it touch anything.
Now take another piece of wire and connect to the sensor location where the White/Green wire was just removed. the other end of the wire should be stripped back bare slightly.
Take coil wire coming from the coil and attach to a gap gauge which has been grounded, of have some else hold it close to a good ground like a clean bolt ofn the motor.

Turn key to ON (don't start)
Now take the jumper wire which was added to the sensor in the distributor and strike it rapidly against the ground.
IMPORTANT - the jumper wire must be struck against the ground at least 2-3 times per second.

If no spark was seen, replace distributor sensor

If No spark was seen, replace coil and run test again.
If still no spark, replace ignition module

I've made it through the troubleshooting you outlined in post 14. Working off that first since I figured out I was being dense and a bit slow and missing the bullet connectors between the sensor and the module. They were under a coolant pipe, and I just assumed they were solid wires.

Based on that, I believe it's the coil. But please check me...
Disconnect tach, no change.
Getting 12v on the positive side of the coil.
Getting 12v on from the White/Red wire from the ignition module.
Not getting any spark when brushing White/Green from the sensor on a ground. See set up in picture. I ran a jumper from the White/Green over to a bigger ground, and brushed/struck many times trying to see spark.

Thank you for all your time helping me through this. I hope my research above is correct, and the coil is the culprit.

Other then the ground not being the best place for a ground it looks good. I would try again with another ground not on the carb. Maybe connect to one of the bolts holding the carb to the manifold

Thanks, those are all painted and I get intermittent grounding when I rub my voltmeter against it. I did move it to a different bolt holding the ignition module to the mother, which has a better ground than where I was using it at. Have been attempting to make it spark for a few more minutes. With no luck.

Thank you for all your help! I will see if the auto parts store has a coil tonight, otherwise I'll go to the marine store tomorrow.
