starter bracket for 88 85 force

hey guya
I cant find the braket that conects the the power head.
Any one knows what size it is and I was thinking of useing an L bracket from a hard ware store

If you use an "L" bracket, you may need to add a spacer or thick washer under the starter. As I remember, the original part had an offset. You may also need to elongate the hole in the leg at the block. Other than that, it should work.

Thanks Frank would it have to be a certin size or thickness for it to work

The original is about 3/4 inch wide and about 1/8 thick.
