Starter Cord Replacement

I have a 1977 9.8 hp outboard with a broken starter cord. Novice to this work but would like to try and fix it. Can you help me with instructions? Looks like a few screws on the side of the flywheel cover (?) but the nut on top of the flywheel looks tricky. Can you help?
