Its a 1971 6 horsepower Evinrude. The gear on the rope pull is a little too far from the teeth on the flywheel. The gear is plastic and was brand new when I got the motor. After only 20 pulls or so the teeth are getting chewed up because it they are grinding with the flywheel teeth due to too much clearance. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust the positioning of either gear. Any advice? Thanks all.
