During the last couple outings, I noticed when I went to turn the key on the ignition, nothing would happen. Try a couple times and move the throttle forward and back (in neutral) a couple times and it turns over no problem.
This past weekend, I launched it and fired it up with no problem. Reversed with the engine cold and bogged it causing it to stall. Went to start it again, got nothing but a click. Tried jumping it, and the starter wouldn't go. Just the click. I'm assuming the click is the solenoid. Plenty of juice in the battery.
Does this sound like the starter is the issue? I tried to remove it today and struggled with one of the two bolts. Haven't got it out yet. It's super tight plus in a tight spot. Also, should the fly wheel turn with everything connected? I'm hoping it's the starter and I could get it rebuilt.
BTW-Someone mentioned the earlier problem may be related to a safety switch malfunction.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
