Hello:

A quick question here. I have an 85HP Force outboard. Pretty much a trouble free motor-
(Imagine that).

Having a little problem with my starter motor.

When the key is turned motor fires right up within a second but the starter makes a bit of a buzzing noise after the motor kicks over.

In the past I have just manually moved the armeture shaft up and down and put some 2 cycle oil on it for lubrication.

It works for about a week and then the same problem.

Do you know any other type of lubrication that I should be using?

Thanks for in advance for your tips.

FYI - Went Striper fishing last night. As we approached the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (here in VA Beach) the fish were breaking the water everywhere. My fishfinder was lighted up like a fireworks display. First cast landed a 26" Rockfish and just about every other cast after that results were produced.

Fall fishing in VA is absolutely the best.

I will take some pics with the digital camera tonight and post what I am talking about.

Its completely unreal to see hundreds of fish jumping out of the water. As you look down the bridge its like a popcorn machine as these fish break the water chasing bait fish.

Fun times, so keep me running.
