I'm planning to remove port engine starter to have it checked out since there were a few occasions last season that the bendix drive (I'm sure the Swedes call it something else) didn't engage the flywheel. Electrical connections are clean and tight, and battery is good.
In your experience, are typical starter (motor) repair shops qualified to work on ignition-protected marine equipment? If you are looking for a shop, what do you ask about their qualifications?
