I believe my Yellow wire is on the opposite side of yours (it's raining out so I can't check right now). Did you try it without the yellow wire attatched?

Sure did. Tried with just the power and the black one going to the starter and reversed them. Starter motor ran both times as soon as I touched the cable to the terminal. It could also be the relay, not sure. Anyways, I'm looking at buying this:

It might not be the best out there but $51 compared to the Volvo Penta one, $399, it's worth a shot. Even if it only lasts a couple of seasons.

That's a GREAT price for that starter. BTW if you tried it with just the battery cable hooked to the starter the solenoid is the problem. Must be stuck.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I'm gonna take it off tomorrow and take the solenoid and exchange it. While it's off, I'll take the starter to autozone to have them test it. IF the new one does it....I'll buy the complete starter from my link.

So get this, I call the place I bought it from, Tracker/Travis which is now Bass Pro Shops to tell them that the solenoid I bought from them is defective and I need to exchange it. The girl tells me that it's an electrical part and she cannot take it back once it's been installed. WHAT THE??? How can a defective part be found as defective if you can't install it? What kind of BS is that? Now I'm out $45. That's just ridiculous. I'm pissed.
