Starter solenoid interchange evinrude 65hp 3cyl

The starter solenoid on my old 3 cyl 65 hp decided to quit ( after sitting up for over a year...my bad )<br />The boat shop is closed today and I'm starring at this thing thinking it looks disturbingly like an old ford starter solenoid.<br /><br />Anybody ever try one? Sure looks the same.But some of the Ford solenoids were different.<br /><br />Your engine needs a solenoid that connects the two large terminals togeather when 12v positive is fed to one small terminal,and 12v negative is fed to the other small terminal.<br /><br />DHP
