starting and the year of my mtor. i have a johnson 55 hp 2cylinder

model num 55el77d serial num e4703141 but i dont know the year. my other ques. i took the boat out for the first time it ran for five min and then it died out did not want to start i checked for fuel it getting fuel, so i checked spark it had no spark so now i dont know where to go i dont want to put extra part if i dont need it i need a walk around diagnostic hands thank

1977 - no spark:coils, power pack, wires, points, plugs.

d all the part come together because i see the coil and plug it one unit now the power pack , and point have to be replace also. how do i know if it has points.
