I have a 1990 Mercruiser 4.3 IO Alpha 1. When I try to start it does nothing. Just like a dead battery, but all instruments come on and got over 12v on battery. It will do this once in a while, not all the time. Other times it will start no problem. Boat has not been summerized yet. How do I troubleshoot without trying to start it? Can I disconnect between the slave solenoid and solenoid and turn key on to see if slave is working properly? Any ideas?
