Hi again all. So I've posted several times regarding my ongoing issues after I went and rebuilt my carbs. Now my issue is that the motor starts and idles fine on muffs but does not start at all when I put it in the water. I've got it at the local marina and mechanic was eluding to something to do with bad rings but can't see how this can be such a coincidence that this happened after the carbs were rebuilt and the motor ran very well before. Could it be the fuel/air mixture and idle adjustments are not set right? John from md mentioned fuel pump check valves but can't see how since it ran fine before the carb work and runs good on muffs. Your help is appreciated as always.
Thanks

Re: Starting issues

Setting up idle speed and mixture must be done with a load on the engine (in gear, in the water). Doing it on muffs guarantees your trouble.
