Starting Old Evinrude for 1st Time in 6 years

1st time poster seeking advice

Getting ready to start a 1972 115 hp Evinrude - motor has set up for about 6 years with no activity or run time during the period

Is there any sort of checklist or advice that I could refer to in staring motor that has set up for such a long time - want to be cautionary not to destroy the motor.

There is a post on hesre called "awakening a sleeping outboard". If I had time I would find it for you. It tells everything possible you would need to do, check and perform to get a OB back on the water again after a long sit.
