1995 in Lewes,De. I had a camper setup at Steamboat Landing. They are a summer camp/fishing with pool etc.
They had in water slips for the residents that wanted to keep their boat in the water.
Two slips down was a brand new boat with a Johnson outboard. I was there when they took delivery and the service guy started the boat and took them out for a ride. They came back and loaded all their girlfriends and went out and actually caught a fish.
The next day they decided to go out again. They loaded all the girls again and was bragging about how they were gonna outfish all the men in the park and really show them up!!! Guess what it wouldn't start. No matter what they did.
I was getting ready to go at the same time and asked if I could help.
One of the girls said NO F*&&^%$# way and they didn't need a man to help them. I said no problem. We came back 6 hrs. later and the boat was still there.
The owner was on board and I couldn't help rubbing it in I asked how was the fishing? She said that they hadn't got it started and the service GUY was gonna come the next day.
He shows the next day and climbs on board and it starts instantly now.
The girls didn't know how to push the key in to choke.
The girl that said they didn't need a man to help was very sheepish and didn't say a word. I told them that anytime they needed a mans help just call. That fish was one of 6 they caught all summer.Jerry
