Well I puled the toon for the 6 month maintenance and have started the rear sun deck. I mentioned this before and there seemed to be some interest. Today I built 2 boxes for the side sections. One on each side of the motor housing. I will take some pictures tomorrow and will show progress as I proceed. I have a few things to figure out yet but it is coming along nicely just as planed. This will probably end up as three separate hinged sections. I was planning on one large top but it will be too big to lift easily for access to my fuel tank and the motor. These are the things I still need to figure out.
Till tomorrow.
Oh BTW I did the maintenance and all I still need to do is replace one Zerk fitting. The thing just won't seal around the grease gun. Not a biggy. Fresh oil, lower unit grease, waxed the motor cover, sprayed inside with WD40, new oil filter, plugs. She will be ready to go. I will probably leave her on land for a couple months till the weather arms a bit. We don't enjoy it when its cold.
UPDATE:
Here is the start of the process.

I've got the end boxes upholstered. Came out nice. More pictures to come. I have to pickup the foam for the tops on Monday. Then I can button it up next weekend if time allows.

One third of my sundeck disappeared in the 4/27 tornado storm aftermath. I've got to replace all three--to make sure they're structurally strong enough to stay in place--and for the carpet to match.

Good luck. These are relatively easy jobs.

Nice job Paul. Just realized, it looks like you moved the gas tank to the starboard corner, unless that's just the location for the fuel fill.

Thanks
Yea that's where the gas tank was originally. Battery on the port side. I did take the tank out and cleaned it while I was working on the rest.
