Start with replacing the fuel filters.----Did this problem show up suddenly?----How did it run for you last season ?----Did you inspect VST ?----Just bolted it on ?-----Checked fuel pressure regulator ?----Needle and seat in the VST ?------Post all information !
Yes, I replaced the fuel filters. It ran good last year. I started to prep it for this year but it will not restart after only minutes of idle. I replaced the VST but the issue is exactly the same. The fuel pressure regulator is inside the VST. I have not yet checked the pressure on the fuel rail.
It starts fine, runs a couple of minutes. then dies. It will not restart warm. I let it cool a couple of hours and it runs fine for a couple of minutes, then dies and wont restart unless it cools down. It seems to be a fuel issue related to idle and heat. It does not get very hot because it idles for only a minute or two literally. As soon as it starts to get warm the rough idle starts and then it dies.
I removed the plastic air intake up to the spark arrestor to look for air intake obstructions and noticed about a 1/2 pint of gas/oil muck was in the intake. I wonder where that came from? If I pumped the bulb too much I wonder if the gas would flow from the VST to the rail through an injector back into the intake? This may not be related to the warm up issue.
I have no codes flashing. Thanks...
