Here is my port motor being started with water for the first time. I had pulled the plugs and cranked the motor over to prime oil and fuel pump. I had removed the impeller to minimize damage to it. After I knew it would run, I replaced the impeller and added water. Motor started easily and sounded good. The motors started out as crusader 270's, they are now 300hp generic motors. I have been fortunate to have a local dealer that had a lot of new take off parts.

Motor sounds good, idles well, might need to be adjusted once in the water. I have to finish the starboard motor and will post that video.

I would agree, it brought joy to see it run. I started this project with the motors since mid September. A little extra attention to detail, makes a world of difference. I know when I have these installed, they will run good, no issues to fix.
