I have a second starter I was wondering if the part numbers are interchangeable.

(left) 81 50hp Merc (right) 71 650 Merc. The one on the left is the one that is not working.

They look similar but I have not yet removed the starter from the 650 yet

Merc part 50-65436 and 50-44369A1 and 50-73521 and a few others are all supersceded part numbers, so there should be no issues
