hey guys i recently had the problem of 1 bank of cylinders not firing on my 200hp v6. it would start up and run on 3 cylinders.

i replaced the stator with a cdi piece and now i get spark on all 6 cly. but the engine will not start up it will just crank.

when i removed and replaced the stator is there anyway i could have messed up the timeing? I may have not have put the stator in the right position when i tightened down the 4 bolts holding it, thinking about it i could probably rotate the stator clockwise one more screw hole. could this be my problem?

Re: Stator and timeing

The stator has nothing to do with timing, as long as the holes line up and it fits under the flywheel. A it does is produce electricity the trigger times the engine.

Carb or injected?
2 cycle is easy. It goes squish - bang. If it's getting spark, and gas, it should do something.

Did you have the coil harness off the swithboxes? If you accidentally swapped them side to side, it wouldn't start. Same thing with the trigger triad.

Link n sync will show it up in a heartbeat.

hope it helps
