hi i have a 1993 200hp 2.5L thats not charging at low rpms, anything below like 1500-2000 rpms, it flutters.

the 200hp has the 40 amp charge system with dual regulators.

i have a parts motor, a 2.0L 150hp with the 16 amp single regulator system.

can i swap the stators from these two and run it with a single regulator if i also use the 16 amp flywheel?

i have a brand new in the box 16 amp stator and a brand new in the box regulator, and i would just use the 2.0L flywheel.

they both use regulators # 194-2579
they both use triggers # 134-6456
they both use switchboxes # 5775

but i would be removing stator # 9610K2 and replacing it with stator # 5860.

sound good? any problems?

From what I have read, it should all interchange, but you know you'll lose some charging capacity.

That will work OK if the stators are the same Diameter I'm not sure but I think some are cast flywheels and some are flex plate and am not sure about the ID of them
