Re: stator test

You can do a couple of checks with any meter. With the stator disconnected from the rectifier check for continuity between the two yellow stator output wires. Then check each wire to ground, it should be open.

The stator outputs a series of pulses. In order to match up the output values with what is published in the manual, you need a peak reading meter or an oscilloscope. With the VOM you can measure yke stator output voltage, on the AC scale, but you can't correlate it to the peak readings.

Re: stator test

did a stator resistance test on stator, low-speed reading was a "o" ohm
high-speed was a 145-150 ohms
