Re: Stealing motors

I had a friend who owned an aircraft and he setup some sort of electric system that would cause shocks if you touched it. something like electric fences for catles. Worked for him ... LOL

Re: Stealing motors

That is why Texas titles outboards, wisgirl.
I would say that's probably NOT why 'they' title outboards.......

They do it so they can sock everybody that buys and sells an outboard with fees & taxes for the life of the outboard.......it's a proven income stream.

Insurance companies will cover an outboard whether it's licensed or not.......

The best way to keep someone from stealing your expensive outboard is to either "lock" it to the back of the boat (which can of course be defeated)............OR lock the boat away in a garage when not in use.

Then we very very quietly came out of the bushes with assault style weapons.....
You gotta be very careful with that style of deterrent......in some of our more liberal states they would scream "weapon-brandishing " and the cops might come after you......

Now if you came out of the bushes with your hunt'n dog and your Model 12, like you were bird hunt'n.......
