(stearing) Wheel, what do I need?

The boat (16' tri-hull) is on the way back together with new stringers, deck and transom. Thought I should pretty up the helm while I'm at it. Ordered and received a guage set and new wheel, but my rig must use something unusual.
Aside from being ugly, the wheel is cracked and really needs replaced.

Anyone know what I should be ordering or where? I would like to replace just the wheel if possible.

looks to me like it's time to buy the teleflex no feedback rotary system, i don't beleive any one makes those any more, and you may have to relocate the guages.

Those Square Shaft helms are Antiques,+ No Longer Available....... Including the Wheels for them.....

I'd get a New Helm,+ Cable like T's D says.......

Old Glastrons used that square shaft steering. They had a pretty nice wheel on them. If you can find an old junker. try to salvage one out of it. The gear is a nice rack and pinion. I have two of them and I am toying with the idea of removing the shaft and having it turned down to standard 3/4 inch taper or drilled out to receive a 3/4 inch tapered shaft so I could use new wheels.

You know, you can do anything you want if you are willing to throw enough time or money at it.

Replacing the system is a last resort measure, this project is well over budget now!
As everything else seems to be in working order (and I only intend to keep this boat another couple of years) I would prefer to simply replace the wheel if possible.

Ayuh,....... For a Couple Hundred,.... It can All be New.......

look at ebay item # 150124064750 don't think you can beat it. for new.
