Are you in the outboard manual business? Many people that have a small or infrequent problem with their motor do not chose to own or have the money for a manual. I personally have a manual on my twin 175 HP Evinrudes but still have questions. It's getting a little "old" telling everybody that has a question to get a manual. I don't mean to be rude; but give us a break. :p Thanks.

i agree with you. i'm a 56 year old mechanic that has worked on everything from snowmobiles to diesels. IF YOU OWN IT, YOU NEED A MANUAL ON IT. no other way to know what you are doing to it or are going to do to it.

buckman

Ofcourse a printed manual doesn't turn the average boater into a qualified mechanic.

But it does give a lot of info and especially allows you to describe problems and understand/utilize advice given.

One minor mistake often costs much more than the manual that would have prevented it.
