Steeriing wheel

I want to replace the steering wheel on my 2004 bayliner 205 the wheel I want says it's for a 3/4" tapered shaft does anyone know if that will work? I notice alot of wheels say that is that what I should look for or do I need other info about my boats steering

...most pleasure boat wheels are, indeed, mounted on a 3/4" taper with a woodruff key. However, the only positive way to determine your existing shaft's configuration is to measure it.
Chances are excellent that it IS 3/4" taper !!!

Only way to be sure is to take yours off the boat.
Even if the new one is different, it can be made to fit with modification or a bushing.
A long time ago I modified a Nardi car wheel to fit the helm of my Wellcraft. It involved a bit of machining but it turned out nice.
