I have an 84 Johnson 115TLRCD and the steering arm is getting bad. Seems 24 years in the salt water has started to corrode it away pretty good. Has anyone tried to repair their own by manufacturing another arm?

Anyone have a line on a new or good used one; or am I stuck paying 400.

thanks

Tash, I think he's looking for 0392518 (20" transom) or 0392519 (25" transom) steering arm assy (has swivel tube as part of it.) Not practical to make your own. Look for a good used one tcoutboard.com, etc.
