steering cable help

I just removed the steering cable and after inspection I decided to change it out my question is how do i know what to buy i really just want to change the cable not the steering wheel or the here are the numbers on the cable morse 304415-216in 5527,, can I use teleflex cables or what do I need thanks guys ,,,

Duke,

Teleflex cables should work since Morse and Teleflex are the same company now. The number on the cable should also be the replacement cable number. If no luck with that then the key thing to look at is the connection to the helm - threaded nut connection or push in quick connect type. Then the length is the next thing to look at. If you have the connection type and length then just order that size and style cable.

double check how the calbes attach to the helm and verify this with new cables. my morse calbes attach to the helm with a bolt through the helm to clamp. these cables are no longer available new. ive been down this road...ebay solved my problems...

The length is 18 ft. (216 in.)
