Steering cable question

I am replacing the teleflex steering cable in my Renken, the original cable was a 16.5' and it has the Safe-T rotary helm. Every where I look they list only 16 or 17' cables or complete systems. The cable on this tucks neatly under the right gunwale and any excess cable would be hard to hide and a shorter cable would be tough to make work. Does anyone have a good source for exact replacements? The original number on the old cable is SG7276 E3.
I really don't want to have to buy the whole helm and kit, I have a new SS wheel and the helm is fine. The old cable was damaged by the last owner that broke the end while removing the motor in a hurry.
If I have no choice, a longer cable or the whole kit will have to be the choice, but I would prefer to have the exact fit. I checked here at iboats but didn't see anything this long?

Re: Steering cable question

I gave it a shot, I'll wait for their reply I guess.
I hate to jury rig something or have a cable hanging or bound up because I can't properly hang the excess. The 16.5 fits perfect, no slop and no slack hanging. If anything, its a tad bit long, but a 16 is too short. Being an open boat there's not much room to hide or reposition excess cable.
