Steering Cable??

I dont know why i didnt post it with the battery question but anyways, My wheel is turning very very hard... I am guessing the steering cable needs to be changed.. Is it a pain and about how much loot to do it? thanks guys

Yes, it could be the cable or it could be the motor. Unhook the cable(s) at the motor and attempt to swing the motor left and right. If it is hard to turn, the problem is with your swivel tube (vertical) or your tilt tube (horizontal.) If the motor turns fine unhooked, double check by using the streering wheel to see if the problem is the cable or the streering unit.

Try your tilt tube first. I had the same problem. everybody told me it was the cable ($160) and it turned out to be just a good cleanning on the tube and good grease did the trick. It took me 4 hours and saved a bunch of money.<br /><br />Let me know if you have any questions.
