I have a 96 Century 23' WA with a Yamaha 200 and the steering leaks. It had a small leak back at the engine where the steering rod comes out of the housing. Now it has developed a leak at the wheel where the wheel attaches to the pump. I can't find any info in the Clymer manual. How hard is this to fix and what parts are likely bad. All of the other projects are done and this is the last one!! Then she is ready to get wet!!

Re: Steering leak

Arnold,<br /> I'am assuming you are referring to hydraulic steering? You must find out the manufacturer of the steering system(ie.Yamaha,Hynautic,SeaStar etc.)to see what parts are available. From what you are describing, sounds like the inner seals are worn.Make sure fittings are snug(do not overtighten). If work is needed, prepare for a little down-time.Any air let into system must be purged out before use.Good luck.
