For all the MUST use Marine plywood. AC EXT. from any body is perfectly ok in NON critical work. Marine ply is Ext. plywood. Except for the quality of the knot holes and the gaps between butt joints as they join the Veneers to make each layer. Some Home Depot AC Ext. is almost as good as Marine. Both AC Ext. and Marine WILL rot if allowed to be kept wet. I have a fishing boat with add on floor boards, front bow locker and instrument console that was built of AC Ext. 10 years ago. Rain floods and a good bilge pump means NO delamination or warping. If it gets wet- dry it out. Simple

<br /><br />I will have to do some creative work on the sides of the boat. That cable being shorter caused a wee bit of a problem but I was thinking of a solution before that happened.
