I have a 1966 14 ft Fiberglass Duo with the same age steering system I presume...I had to replace the steering cable but am unsure of how to hook it up again. This is a rotary steering sytem but on the back of the steering wheel where you put the cable(s) it winds like a screw where the cable connects somehow to but there is a 1/4 in (?) Slit into the part that appears to be the place to put the cable(s). Please help.
