I have a 1977 ranger fish and play it had a merc 115 on it, I replaced it with a 1972-85 hp evinrude. My steering seems to be a little stiff when I turn it all the way, I looked at the cable and it seems to be a little long and kind of in a bind as when it comes out in the back it has to make almost a 90 degree turn. Is there a way to shorten the cable. I have not really looked at it much but I am planning to later on today.

Re: steering question

the linc from the cable to the motor are different from merc to rude, did you use a rude link arm, for that hp motor.
