99 225 ficht needs steering ram the one that <br />turns the Motor port & starboard <br />the dealer says the part is $525.00 <br />Is this right????? <br /><br />Bogart.

Are you talking about the actual steering arm thats part of the motor or the hydraulic steering cylinder that bolts to the front of the motor?

OK, now that we know what you are talking about. There are two common styles of hydraulic cylinders by Teleflex. Chances are yours is the older type and most of the time there is not enough hydraulic hose length to install the new style, less expensive cylinder. Seek the advice of a knowledgable tech for which one to use. The older one is between 4 and 5 hundred dollars, plus installation, filling, and bleeding the system.
