Can anyone here identify this ram. I need to replace the seals but I am not sure what ram this actually is. Could anyone tell me what ram or seal kit is needed.

Re: Steering Ram Identification

Usually there is a tag or plate that will ID the ram.

Re: Steering Ram Identification

Pull the ram out and visit a shop that makes hydraulic hoses and they can probably match the seals. Places that repair heavy equipment, forklifts.......... might be as simple as visiting NAPA for o-rings. Who made the Boat???

Is that for an outboard????? What boat is it mounted in. Looks like an I/O set up to me. Please respond so I can move this post if needed since this in the Non-Repair Outboard Discussions area.

It resembles seastar but could be about anyone of them. Just about any of them will work as a replacement so long as they match up. Check the helm and pump to see if there is a manufactures name. If you have basic size could try giving a call to seafirst or seastar which they may be able to assist.

Seaboard Marine handles these at 800 200 BOAT
