I am still trying to get my steering kit replaced, combination of money and timing problems have prevented me from having it done by now. Here's my last question. The old steering system was an Old Style Teleflex Rack and Pinion Dual cable system. The new system that I ordered is a Uflex Rotech II dual cable rotary system. Today I spoke to the mechanic at the shop I'm going to use, and he was trying to tell me that there probably isn't enough space under the console for a rotary system if the old system was rack and pinion. Could that be possible? I looked under there and there appears to be quite a bit of space. How big is a rotary helm? I'm just trying to get a second opinion before I send the new kit back and spend more money on a dual cable rack kit.
