My steering wheel clicks when i turn to the left. My boat was very hard to turn so I brought it to the shop last year to get fixed. The mechanic told me that they dont make a certain size cable for my 20" boat and that it was sticking out a little bit from the corn of the dash wasnt a big deal to me but thought it was weird that they dont have the right cable for my boat. Any way the steering was much better but still didnt seem as easy as i thought it would be at higher speeds it is better but lower still seems a little hard need to put some force into it not like a car.
My questions is what would cuz it to click sounds like it coming in from behind the wheel it self.

any how easy is it to turn your steering wheel.

I am not sure about the clicking sound, but I am guessing you do not have power steering? If not you need to read this FAQ It mentions the boat "pulling to the right or left", but it applies to increased steering effort as well. Takes some playing with to get it right, and the force will always be different at different speeds. The best thing is to adjust it for neutral under the conditions you operate most of the time. It can make quite a difference.
