Im getting my old crestliner back in ship shape and want to use another steering wheel. I want one made of wood like the old boats have. Who makes these or where should I look to find one? thanks:D

Case out all the Nautical restaurants in your area...Have your wife bring her 'extra big' purse...Heck, most will have about 5-6 varieties/sizes for you to choose from...

They're everywhere, depends on what you want to spend, really. A google search for 'Wood Boat Steering Wheels' just netted me 862,000 hits. How many did it net you ?

Ayuh,.........

You might as well Pull the current Wheel,+ see what it's mating surface is before you even start Looking.......

The most common Helms of today use the 3/4" tapered, followed by the 1" tapered.....

There are some older stuff out there that will Not match much of Anything,.....
So be aware......

I saw some wooden ones like the one I have in my picture at Boater's World. They don't have them online, but I saw them in their store in Destin, FL. There is a store near you.
