Hi,My 1979 90HP mercury outboard steeres very hard to the right.If you let go of the wheel the steering will fly to the right very fast,you really have to keep your hands on the wheel especially at high speeds.Can you give me any suggestions on what to check and do?Thank you.....Steve 1860.

adjust the trim tab anode(on the bottom of the cavitation plate) in the opposite dirrection of the pull.
also make sure the skeg isnt bent, or check for any low mounted transducers that may be causing drag.

Also... Keep your hands on the wheel; especially at high speeds.

The trim anode is there to help counter torque-steer on cable steering systems which is what you are experiencing. You will have to adjust in increments to see how what you are doing is affecting the steering.​

If the motor is pulling to the right..............turn the tab to the right. This will push t back to the left................Jerry
