Steerring Adjustments ?

I just install a new now feed back rack steering system in my boat. First time ever did it. Everything went ok just had to make a few adjustment in the hole in the dash. NOW FOR THE QUESTION? The engine seem to turn more one way than the other. I put the rack on the helm first is it possible that i move the gear in the rack which would make it turn more in one direction than the other, and should i take the rack off the helm and reinstall it with the engine straight? Any help on this matter would be great. Thanks

I agree with your plan. I am replacing an old cable as we speak. The whole thing is torn out. Hope the new one works better than the old as it took 2 hands to turn the wheel.<br /><br />Mark
