I'm a little rusty on my immigration laws...
Say on my trip from Mackinac City, MI to Sault Saint Marie (MI), Canada was in site for a long while. Should I want (or need to) set foot on Canadian soil, do I have to go through a "port of entry" or something to avoid having black helicopters with little maple leafs from showing up or is it not that big of a deal?
I mean I might want to stop in Sault Saint Marie (I spell it out because the abbreviated versions annoy me lol), ON for lunch or poke a hole in the hull and have to beach the vessel in the Canadian side of the Detour Passage. I do have a valid passport and all but don't want to be interrogated and thought to be hauling drugs or something.
Thanks guys.
